Aki Onda

is a well-known Japanese cassette artist living in Brooklyn. He has collaborated with notable improvisers and sound artists such as Alan Licht and Michael Snow. Onda uses a series of cassette tapes, run through effects, producing a highly evocative effect, bringing universality to his own specific experiences, as recorded on the cassettes.

Mike Hansen
is a renowned turntable artist, improviser, composer, painter, and filmmaker.  He has performed at the No Music Festival (London, ON, with Michael Snow and Tomasz Krakowiak), the FIMAV festival (Victoriaville, PQ, with Krakowiak and Kaffe Mathews) and the Send + Receive Festival (Winnipeg).  As the host of Toronto’s weekly ‘Why Not Jazz?’ podcast program, Hansen also provides one of the very few forums in Toronto dedicated to the dissemination and discussion of new music.

Tomasz Krakowiak
is a Toronto-based improviser and composer.  He performs frequently as a percussionist and electro-acoustic improviser in Canada and his native Poland, at festivals such as Musica Generica.  One of his best-known solo projects is Kathode, in which video feedback is used to create a hypnotic visual accompaniment for his analog synth noise.
