CARLA BOZULICH
SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST, 9:15 PM
To my ears, Carla Bozulich is one of the most recognizable female vocalists of the past twenty years or so.
ALMOST COOL MUSIC REVIEWS
Carla Bozulich is perhaps best-known as the singer from LA based art-rock band The Geraldine Fibbers and as the woman who re-made Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger – with Willie Nelson as a special guest.
Fiercely individualistic, Bozulich seems to have never been content to rest on her laurels. Her current projects, Evangelista and Bloody Claws, showcase two different approaches to her experimental side. For Electric Eclectics, Carla will be presenting a Bloody Claws performance – frenetic and intense electronic-vocal improvisation. Her list of collaborators is varied and impressive, ranging from her aforementioned work with Willie Nelson, to collaborations with Nels Cline (of Wilco), members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Silver Mount Zion. A few days after her upcoming performance at Electric Eclectics, Carla will be performing in Germany with Marianne Faithful and Marc Ribot.
Do not miss your opportunity to see one of the most varied artists Electric Eclectics has ever featured.
