BITCHIN'

is a group performing non-idiomatic, free improvisation, created entirely in the moment, at the moment of performance, by the performers.
Described by Roger Turner as “Delightfully random!”, it is created by listening and responding with no specific pre-conceived plan or
purpose other than the intent of creation.
The core group that played at the Distillery Jazz Festival, 2005:
Dougal Bichan violin, bamboo flute, guitar, harmonica, voice
Alan Bloor bass
Rod Campbell trumpet, clarinet, pvc clarinet, harmonica, voice
Elliott Chapin flute, voice, slide trumpet, cornetto, recorders, laptop
Bryan Dennis percussion
The group plays on the second Tuesday of the month, at the Art Bar
of the Gladstone Hotel, as part of the bitchin' sessions.
